TODAY: A few clouds to start the day and then, like yesterday, sunny skies and very warm in the afternoon! Highs in the lower 70's in Colorado Springs and upper 70's in Pueblo. Winds today will be lighter than yesterday which means our fire danger will not be as high.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and staying mild again. Low temps will be about 10-15 degrees above our average lows for this time of the year.
THURSDAY: Spring-like weather sticking around. Sunshine again and temps tomorrow very close to the highs we'll have today.
FRIDAY: Likely the warmest day of the next seven. Temps in the lower 70's for Colorado Springs and right around the lower 80's for Pueblo, La Junta and Lamar. We'll be watching to see if the extreme fire danger returns due to the very warm conditions and breezy conditions.
ST. PATRICK'S DAY: The luck of the Irish will be with us....mostly sunny, breezy and very warm again. Weather for the St. Patty's parade in Colorado Springs will be just about perfect for the noon-time start. Winds will be from the southwest during the day at about 15-20 mph.
SUNDAY: Gusty winds and not quite as warm. Temps should be about 5-6 degrees cooler than Saturday under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. There is a storm system will be approaching the state from the southwest. We should begin to see some scattered snow showers starting across the high country....good news for those of you who like to make some turns! By evening we could even see an isolated shower over the mountains close to home.
MONDAY: Breezy and cooler with partly sunny skies. That storm southwest of the state will draw closer to Colorado. Snow showers will be more likely in the mountains. Slight chance around Teller County, The Wets & Sangre de Cristo's of a few light showers by late in the day.
MONDAY NIGHT: Chance of showers west of I-25 and at the higher elevations and chilly.
TUESDAY: The coolest day of the next seven we'll also have our best chance of a few showers. Chances will be best at the higher elevations and west of I-25. Chances in Teller County about 30-40%...30% around Colorado Springs and only about a 20% chance for Pueblo. La Junta, Canon City and Trinidad.
Enjoy the gorgeous weather the next few days!
